SCHWARZBEIN PRINCIPLE COOKBOOKS AUTHOR

...The author of two great cookbooks, Evelyn worked with the noted endocrinologist Dr. Diana Schwarzbein in formulating her recipes for maximizing health. These books support "The Schwarzbein Principle", a best-selling health and nutrition book published in 1999. Evelyn also toured with Dr. Schwarzbein promoting the books.

The Schwarzbein Principle Cookbook was number 7 on the LA Times Cookbook Hot List of July 17, 2002!

FOUNDER ~ Food From The Heart

...Founded "Project Food Chain" in 1994, a volunteer run kitchen serving nutritious meals to Santa Barbara's sick and homeless.

Evelyn was chosen as one of Santa Barbara's 1997 Local Heroes.

 

Project Food Chain changed its name to Food From The Heart, and Evelyn remained as the Chair of the Board and Executive Director until 2010, when (after 17 years) she stepped down to pursue other causes also important to her.
